About
Have you ever asked yourself, how to create a mega cool game controller for your favorite games?
Yes? – But did you also think about developing one by yourself? If you think, that this is very complicated and to expensive for you, let me tell you: it’s not!
This blog is a documentation of the practical course “Sketching with hardware” at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University that tries to make the learning content accessible to future interested students. During the following 7 days, 12 students will learn to use electronic components, to create new creative user interactions and they will realize their own physical computing project. The course teaches theoretical background about physical laws and electricity as well as the practical handling of tools to build innovative and useful controllers or other creative electronic devices out of old or relatively cheap electronic components.
Sketching with hardware is fun and students can experiment with many different components and instruments.
The official homepage of the course at LMU with the contacts of the supervisors can be found here.
